Why these

3 methods, in the order the test asks for them

Bain's online test isn't hard maths or hard reading. Prep sites agree the difficulty is pace: a timer and, on TestGorilla, no way back to a question once it's submitted.

So this course teaches three decisions you make in seconds: what a passage really settles, whether a number needs the calculator, and what an if-then rule lets you conclude. Each one is a habit you can build in an evening.

The worked examples come from DrillCase's free practice: the free verbal questions and the sample chart in our Bain guide. You can try every one before you read the working.

What's official, and what's reported

Every claim about the real test is labeled. Checked against our guides and the sources they cite on 23 Sep 2026. If your invitation says something different, trust the invitation.

Bain or the platform says: Bain's email says whether you take Sova or TestGorilla. Bain puts it at about 30 to 40 minutes and allows pen, paper and a calculator.
Bain or the platform says: TestGorilla's candidate FAQ: no going back, no penalty for a wrong answer, and the timer keeps running if you close the window.
Candidates report: Prep sites report Sova's verbal section uses True / False / Cannot Say, and that Bain rates TestGorilla sub-skills 1 to 3 and averages them.
Example · practice content: Every worked example is DrillCase practice content, invented for practice. None is a Bain question.

Not in this course: Situational judgement, the personality questionnaire, abstract-pattern items and video questions. Our free Bain guide works one judgement item and says what's known about the rest.
