Bain online testSova or TestGorilla
For anyone with a Bain online test invitation and a deadline
Prep sites report that TestGorilla rates each sub-skill 1 to 3 and averages the ratings, so one weak area drags your profile down. Comprehensive puts verbal, numerical, data, judgement and logic on the clock: 476 questions in 23 timed sets, with an explanation for every answer.
One payment, lifetime access. Full refund within 7 days if you've opened 3 sets or fewer.

Why good candidates slip
Every sub-skill is rated.
Prep sites report that TestGorilla rates each sub-skill 1 to 3 and averages them. A strong section can't climb above 3; a weak one can fall to 1.
123The clock doesn't wait.
TestGorilla's own candidate FAQ says the timer keeps running and you can't go back. Sova shows no per-question countdown, but prep sites report that answer time counts.
The deadline is short.
Your invitation names Sova or TestGorilla and a deadline, which prep sites report at about three days.
If you've been practising the numerical questions you like and putting off the verbal ones you dread, that's normal. Practice that feels like progress is the kind we all pick first. It just leaves the weakest section untouched.
The method
01 Find
Do one timed set in every section. The lowest review score is your weak section.
02Fix
Put your next sets there. Read the explanation for every miss, then retake.
03 Full run
About two days before the test, sit a full paper: sections back to back, one clock.
Comprehensive is the only Bain-line plan that covers all three steps (the All-Access Pass includes it). A single module covers “Fix” for one section.
What's inside
5 sets · 25 min
True, False or Cannot Say on short passages on varied topics, so “Cannot Say” becomes a rule you apply, not a guess
9 sets
Tables and charts on sales, staffing, exchange rates and shares, so estimating first becomes a habit
5 sets · 20 min
Pick the most effective response in 20 workplace scenarios; the explanation rates every option, and each question is tagged with the competency it tests
2 sets · 12 min
Syllogisms, statement relationships, assumptions and rule application, so each pattern is familiar before you meet it
2 sets · 15 min
Shown once, as bonus B2 below, so it isn't counted as both core and bonus.
| Paper | Qs | Min | Sections, in order |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 48 | 46 | Verbal · Numerical · Logic · Judgement |
| 2 | 48 | 46 | Verbal · Numerical · Logic · Judgement |

Verbal, with a timer, an explanation after each answer and a score by question type. It's a separate sample bank in a different verbal style on one section clock, so it shows how explanations work, not the paid questions or their True / False / Cannot Say format.

One module, 12 months, for when you already know your weak section.
Why $99?
It's in line with what full Bain-style sets cost elsewhere, and it adds the mock papers and case-study sets that no module includes. Lifetime, because candidates who reapply shouldn't pay twice.
USD, one payment. Modules and the mock papers: 12 months. Comprehensive: lifetime. The case-study sets are not sold on their own.
Questions
No. DrillCase is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Bain & Company, Sova or TestGorilla.
Bain's invitation names the platform: usually Sova or TestGorilla (candidates report Pymetrics in Germany). Sova and TestGorilla lean on the same skills, which is why we practise by skill. Our guide compares the two. The free Platform Check shows the rules of the one you got.
The sections, the question styles and a clock on every set are built to what candidates and prep sites describe. Two differences: our sets let you go back to a question, TestGorilla doesn't; and the grade letters on our review screen don't predict Bain's scoring. Practise answering once and moving on.
Abstract pattern (inductive) items, the personality questionnaire and video questions. Sova's candidate hub has free examples of those.
Comprehensive refunds in full within 7 days if you've opened no more than 3 sets (the mock papers count), as our refund policy says. Single modules are final sale once access starts. Duplicate charges are refunded; if access fails, we fix it or refund. The All-Access Pass has 7 days even if used.
Yes: a free 10-question verbal session with a timer and explanations, and a 64-second walkthrough of a paid mock paper. The free questions are a separate sample bank in a different verbal style.
If you already know your weak section, one module ($20, 12 months) covers it. If you don't, Comprehensive ($99, lifetime) lets you find it, and includes the case sets and the three mock papers.
No. They re-sequence questions from the practice bank into full, timed papers. That's why they come free inside Comprehensive.
That's the case the method is for: tonight one set per section, tomorrow two sets in the weakest one, then one mock paper.
No. One payment. Nothing renews.
No reviews are shown until each can be proven: the order it came from, the date its writer gave permission, and their consent to the name shown. Pass rates, no. We have no data on how users score on Bain's test, so we don't quote any.
A laptop or desktop with Chrome, the browser Bain recommends for TestGorilla.
You pay on Polar and come back to DrillCase. Once payment is confirmed, every set is open. Start with one set in each section.
Your deadline is in your invitation, and it won't move. Every evening before it is one timed set you either do or don't. That's the only deadline on this page.
